Site worked well for the most part, includes shipping information but it is often not up to date - one of my orders arrived before i had any notification it was even in customs. But the platform generally works well, although itd be nice if they accepted paypal.

I've made several orders from DHGate and it has been 90% enjoyable. One vendor HWFashion has twice given me trouble. Either by sending things that don't match advertisement or not sending at all. I currently have 1 order outstanding with HWFashion and they won't return my messages. Other vendors however have been great. Most even deliver ahead of schedule.
It has been a pleasure to buy at DHgate. Even though many products do not meet my expectations, many others have a really good quality. Refunding orders take long. I am still waiting for two different refunds. However, I recomend this website.

I purchased several time from dhgat and I had any such problem. Product as described. Really reliable. Very good price never found before and secured site I cann't belief what the reviewers write. It is no true at all.
When you need something exactly as you've imagined it checking dhgate is definitely the best. Not only is their shipping not too long but the prices are reasonably good too.

UPDATE- it cost $60 to return dress via ups (tracking number is required) however, invoice return address is different and long story short id rather be out $100 than $160 plus no dress to speak of...
I ordered a Halloween costume from DHgate. It came in on time and at a great price! Make sure to give your order some time if ordering from the USA. Since many of the goods sold here are comparable, I prefer to save on some of my purchases. DHgate is an excellent place to do that.

Wasn't clear about who my contract was with but decided to chance it at only £17 for a pack of 5.
Delivery was slow but they arrived within the time promised.

Only complaint: items were rolled when packaged so had to be flattened before application. That is down to the seller, not DHGate.
I was just about to place a $200 order of various things. Something to told me to look at the reviews first. I was hesitant because they do not accept paypal and that is my preferred payment for online orders. I do not like to share my credit card different sites. Thanks for all the warnings.
I love this site because it has many great deals! Great quality phone cases, clothes, etc. What I like even more is that dhgate keeps your money instead of releasing to seller. Which keeps you safe from being scammed.
DHgate is a more affordable alternative to online shopping sites like Amazon or eBay. The prices on DHgate are a fraction of what you'd find elsewhere, and most items offer free shipping.
The only catch is nearly all items offered on DHgate are shipped from China. This means a longer wait than if you'd order domestically, and higher fees if free shipping isn't available. You're not going to get 2-day shipping like you would from Amazon, but most packages I ordered arrived in 7 days.
Being based in China also poses a slight language barrier. English on the site is pretty rough. Most listings and communications with vendors seem translated by Google. That being said, it wasn't impossible to understand the sometimes broken English.
Translation issues and shipping times aside, DHgate's selection of items and low prices outweigh the negatives. Overall I was satisfied with my experience at DHgate and I would recommend this site to any value-minded individual.

This company is a ripoff place. I lost $106. They advertise one thing on their web site and mail completely different stuff, which is very cheap and has nothing to do with the stuff you ordered. They wont take your cancel request at all. They partnered with Chinese companies and ripping off people in USA. Stay away. Don't get hurt. Robbers in USA. We need to hand over these robbers to US law enforcement agency. Please join me in doing that. This must be stopped.

After receiving a faulty phone and returning it for a refund I am still waiting for my $300+ 6 months later. Their 'customer service' (I use the term loosely) is disgusting. Everytime I message ir email them they tell me they will escalate the dispute to a higher department I have not had a single reply from these fraudsters. Their sellers mark their parcels with misleading descriptions in the customs labels to hide their knock off trade and ask their customers to do the same when returning anything. Any company that doesn't give a stuff about what their sellers are doing is clearly dodgy. I wush I'd read reviews before parting with my hard earned cash.

I bought a $112.46 dress recently. Dress was nothing like picture or description. Attempted to return but was made to jump hoops. In the end I was promised a refund of $40.00 which was not even half of what I paid, only to review my credit card TWO months later and find that they never credited my account. Its a scam. They make their clothes with the cheapest of materials, sizing is very different than American, and then refuse to give you your money back. I couldnt be more disappointed. Such a discracful company especially when they target teenagers trying to buy prom dresses for large amounts of money!

Total scam. Wrong size, wrong design, seller wasn't helpful, their resolution center strung me around for a month before I finally just disputed the charge with my credit card. NEVER buy anything from here! This was for my wedding, too, and now I don't have time to find a new item.
Purchased 2 hovewrboards for Christmas for my kids. They were sold with " bags, remote controls and upgraded LG batteries. They came. No bags, no remotes and generic batteries. 2 days after Christmas 1 quit working. Of course the seller claimed to have a warranty but won't respond. I've dealt with dhgate people who fill me with empty promises and now are not even responding. They want my order number and I am going to give it to them but I guarantee nothing will get solved by putting that on here. If your going to spend hundreds of dollars for a product to last 2 days think twice about using these foreign thieves. They don't care, they have your money and now they are done. Unbelievably terrible business practices!

Item sent was not what was advertised and spend a month trying to resolve the situation. Every time I contacted them, I had to start over even though they told me that it resolved. Website is also difficult to work... pxs don't load, hard to retrieve messages, etc. A terrible all round experience.

After more than a year buying from dhgate I am happy to continue my shopping there.
Some sellers offer top level both in quality/price and customer service, most are less stellar but still more than good. Few (encountered 1 recently) are not, but dhgate is very helpfull solving issues.
Will recommend to anyone.
My daughter purchased a dress in February this year from DHgate for her school formal in April, at a cost of US$180. The dress was the wrong size and when she contacted them, they used stalling tactics like asking for pictures to verify her complaint. They suggested that they could refund a whole $35, but we wanted a full refund. We also spent close to $30 in posting it back, to date, December 2 2014, we have not received an acknowledgement, or a refund as we requested. To add insult to injury, they now keep sending me emails with different offers. We want our money back please, in full, we will NEVER deal with DHgate again.
