I booked a flight from Tashkent, Uzbek to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to final destination Ryadh, Saudi Arabia. I paid in advance for 2 extra luggages (45kg) thru manager Ryaan who assured me that $200 is going to cover for the luggages for both flights and the transfer of luggages process since i have a bad back. For both flights the PNR was same. When i checked in with the airlines in Tashkent, Uzbek they told me that in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia i have to manually pick up luggages and bring to the connecting flight and no other choice.

There was no way that I could write this review if I don't give them 1 star but if I had option to give them negative star I would have done it. NEVER EVER BOOK TICKETS THROUGH KIWI. We lost all our money. One of the connecting flight got cancelled so my husband couldn't get to his next flight. And had to book the whole new flight with paying double the price. He was stuck in Abu Dhabiairport with no money And kiwi didn't refund any saying they are not responsible. My husband was coming back from India after his mother passing away, he lost both his parents in short span of time. And since he had to be there in India to take care of them he lost his job. So what ever money was left he booked the tickets through Kiwi. And now we lost all the money around $1700 and had to book new tickets for around $2700 that we borrowed from a friend.
Now with his moms passing away and loosing all the money he is in a state of traumatic depression. Thanks for Kiwi for putting my family in this situation. So please if you pay some extra dollars pay that to reliable company not to kiwi.

As per the DOT policy, stated by the Federal Law in the US, a carrier traveling within the US HAS TO HONOR THE 24HOUR CANCELATION POLICY. Kiwi.com doesn't agree with it which makes no sense even though the carriers in the US honor it. Terrible service and it's impossible to get in touch with the supervisor or manager or anyone who can help.

Absolutely Terrible & They Will Not Do What They Suppose To. I tried to use Kiwi for a trip out the country. $564 dollars. My name was wrong on the reservations so i contacted them 3.5 weeks in advance to tell them this, and tell them i needed this to be fixed for my flight. They told me they would have it done 48-72 hrs before my flight. I called the airlines and they said they would change it for FREE but Kiwi, the travel agent had control of the ticket. I messaged them about who i talked to and that its free for airlines to change. Kiwi wanted to charge 45 per name change with the airlines. As ridicoulous as that is, i had to go so i was willing to do this. They said we will email you instructions on how to pay. They never emailed me, never contacted me about the ticket and never said anything to get my ticket correct. If i could give them a negative 5 i would. I have all message exchange and reciepts to back all this up. An if you wanted a refund, from a 564 ticket, they would have only given a $12 refund. Fradulent company, i would say so. So if you plan on using them, i would tell you run as fast as possible from them.

Tip for consumers:
They will try to take all your money if you ask for a refund. Airlines directly will give a full refund back for FREE now because of the pandemic if its a issue with the reservation. This company will try to only give you pennys back. My ticket was 564, they offered $12 as a refund. This means they would have gotten the rest of my money for my ticket free to pocket as profit. Scam or fraudulent company and policies? I greatly think and know so by my experience.

I booked by trip last September for my trip to Rome in June(2022) i read all the bad reviews after i booked my trip and have to admit I was really nervous about it. HOWEVER i had no problems whatsoever with Kiwi or my flight. I dont know what the bad reviews are all about, if it's partly because of what the customers did or didnt do, but i had zero trouble. Kiwi kept me up to date all along the process sent me emails and text messages and made sure I knew everything up front. They let me when my boarding pass would be ready, I did have to get it directly with the airline at their counter, but it was no issue's at all. The airlines had all my info and getting my boarding pass with easy, Kiwi even let me know that there was going to be a 5 min delay with my layover. I would def use them again, I would just say do your research and make sure you know about your layovers and flight changes if any. I found them very helpful and when i sent an email asking questions about my flight they responding quickly and were very helpful. I am glad I used them and would recommend them to anyone. My trip was amazing and am so glad I went

I booked a last minute return flight from Hannover to Athens to be presented to a funeral of a family member.

The first part of the flight was through Corendon Airlines (Hannover-Heraklion on 09.07.2022) and the other parts were from Aegean Airlines (Heraklion-Athens on 09.07.2022 and Athens-Hannover on 10.07.2022). Kiwi website confirmed the booking and sent me the e-tickets for all 3 parts (file attached). Few hours before departure, they sent me an email, that the Corendon Airlines cancelled the flight from Hannover to Heraklion and that I should search for another schedule and the informed me that I have no refund right as I didnt book the insurance they offered.

I called the Hannover airport and they informed me that the flight is scheduled and is not cancelled. I informed the kiwi.com with an email that the flight is not cancelled and that I am waiting for my refund in case they dont resolve the case.

The same time kiwi.com were selling tickets through their website for the same flight tha same date and same time. I contacted the Corendon airlines and our booking code and e-ticket (shared through kiwi.com) could not be find in their system. The day after, the Hannover airport confirmed that the flight was performed as scheduled.

They are scammers. I have regreted booking with them.

I got my ticket from KIWI and a week later got injured with broken leg. I had to do the surgery and couldn't walk for eight weeks. Right away I informed the airline and the kiwi travel agency. Airline excepted to make a refund to the travel agency. However, they requested the agency to call them and formally request to cancel the ticket. Kiwi never called and keep postponing this situation to consider as a no-show at the airport. Every time I called peewee, they keep me on hold and didn't accommodate with my situation. Every time I've been told they were working on that and will call the airline. I had to dispute the charge since they never make any call to the airline. They promised me if I dropped a dispute, they will call the airline right away and cancel the tickets so I trust them and close the case. However, since then they didn't make any call and I was so frustrated to keep asking them to cancel the tickets. They are not trust worthy and make a nasty game with me without understanding my medical situation and compromising my health. They are so rude and very unprofessional, without any respect. I still don't understand why they resist to call the airline since airline accepted to make a refund to them. The only things that I can tell is they are devil advocate!

My flight with Air Tahini Nui is set to leave LAX March 24 to go to CDG in Paris, France. Due to the violent protests in Paris I called twice to ask about a refund or credit to postpone my trip. Kiwi informed me that because it was less than 48 hours from my flight no changes can be made and only a 10 Euro refund given. I was only notified of possible flight and public transportation delays in Paris less than 48 hours from my flight by Kiwi via email. In my second phone call Shreerang refused to transfer me to a supervisor citing a "need for a valid reason to speak to a supervisor". I asked if my concern for my physical safety at my destination due to violent riots, fires, and thousands of protesters in the streets breaking windows was not a valid reason. Shreerang avoided my question and just kept repeating that he "could not escalate" the call to a supervisor without a valid reason or a cancellation from the airline. The airline can do nothing since I booked with Kiwi.

Completely unhelpful and unwilling to discuss any alternatives or exceptions to policy due to extenuating circumstances. Don't book with Kiwi. If anything goes wrong they will do anything to keep your money.

Never, under any circumstances, buy tickets from Kiwi.com! They will never help you in a difficult situation. If you've paid them money, you'll never get anything back - no matter what happens. Flight cancellation, flight delay, you broke your leg, COVID restrictions - in any of these situations, you won't get anything. No compensation. They won't help you at all. I lost over $1000 because of them. Other people couldn't get any compensation for canceled flights either. Kiwi took all the money for themselves.

But the worst part is that they block any possibility of changing the flight directly through the airline. You won't even be able to get your boarding pass yourself. You won't be able to rebook your flight, change dates, get compensation, etc. They won't help you at all. I'll even say more - in most cases, they won't even listen to you.

Kiwi has the worst service I've dealt with in over 15 years of regular flights. If you want to get yourself into big trouble and lose all your money for a ticket, welcome to Kiwi.

Tickets should ONLY be bought DIRECTLY FROM THE AIRLINES. Very often, the ticket price directly from the airline will be slightly higher - but believe me, it's worth it. Services like Kiwi, Trip_com, BudgetAir, Mytrip, Opodo, and many others alike will simply take your money and wash their hands of you in any problematic situation.

After booking my flight ticket on kiwi.com for a coming trip pf mine, I will never use this site again for booking. Will never recommend it to anyone.

Basically it booked 3 tickets from different airline for my trip which is pretty good. But there is not enough information about what includes in my tickets on the checkout page.

In the end I found out what they booked for me are actually basic packages - no seat and no meal is included. I must go to the airline websites to top up in my ticket.

So, in the end it costs extra, a lot, just for adding seat numbers. And it wasted loads of your time.

But if you book the tickets from the airline websites directly, it is way cheaper. No hassle. No 'hidden cost'. No time wasted.

Moment of truth: after spending hours checking all my tickets with the airlines and got all my booking details. I found out that I have been over charged by kiwi.com as below.

The total actual price is about MYR 2271. 44 only, but I was charged for MYR 2674. 81.

Below are the details:

1. Penang to Singapore
MYR 153.00

2. Singapore to Athen
SGD419.3 = MYR 1247. 42

3. Athen to Budapest
186.99 = MYR 871.02

The total:

MYR 153.00
MYR 1247. 42
MYR 871.02
---
MYR 2271. 44
---

So, there is about MYR 403.37 (about EUR 86.75) has disappeared. This amount of money should be distributed over my ticket. But it is not.

It is completely a rip-off. It is really bad to 'scam' customers like this.

What an unscrupulous website / company. Really. I have learned a lesson. Thank you.

Despite very busy I promised to myself that I would have not forgotten what happened to me with Kiwi.com and that eventually I would have left a bad review to them.

I have been a Kiwi.com customer for 2 years so far but over the last 3 months each and every time I called them, they either left me waiting on the phone for 40 to 60 minutes (and eventually not being helpful at all on the phone) or not answering my phone call at all.

2 weeks ago my flight from Cork to London Stansted got delayed by 8 hours and 20 minutes (from 2:55 PM to 11:15 PM). Because of that I missed my next flight (still booked through Kiwi.com) from London Stansted to Bologna (Italy).

Despite my numerous calls to Kiwi.com, nobody answered and after 1.5 hours of waiting on the phone I had to fix this problem directly with the Airline company (Ryanair) who put me in the next flight the following morning but I had to stay overnight in an hotel in London Stansted for which Ryanair will pay for. Issue aside, the policy of Kiwi.com says explicitily that they "guarantee" the flights (these were both flights purchased with Kiwi.com with more than 3 hours of gap between eachothers) but Kiwi.com didn't take responsibility of this problem at all and they DID NOT EVEN bother to call me or to send me a text message to inform me about this huge delay.

I WILL NEVER EVER buy one single ticket with Kiwi.com. They lost a loyal customer and I will also spread my bad experience with them on all the social networks and between my colleagues and friends for a long time.

This is not a professional service.

STAY AWAY FROM KIWI.COM!

Kiwi.com is the worst and caused us to lose $10,000 on our trip to Bali! They completely screwed us over on our flights from the US to Bali, Indonesia this summer and it was so bad that the airline wouldn't even let us on our flight- stating that no one should have ever sold us these tickets because they were unusable due to visa situations quickly changing on a certain leg of our flight. Kiwi had never contacted us prior to our trip about the changing visa situation- so we had absolutely no idea we needed this extra visa. So there we are stuck at the gate 3 hours before our flight, with Qatar airlines calling Kiwi.com and talking to them (ended up at the check-in counter for 1.5 hours with no one from Kiwi offering to help us out or re-route the flight). The gate agent told us were were completely out of luck and that kiwi should have never sold us these tickets. We ended up having to pay an extra $7k for 2 one-way tickets for Bali on another airline that left the next day and we also missed an entire day of our trip.
After the trip, we had Amex dispute the charge with Kiwi.com and Kiwi denied their wrong doing of selling us a completely unusable tickets- costing us an extra $3k in refunds Kiwi would not give us for the bad airline tickets. I will never book with them again. STAY AWAY.
Afterwards, I googled it to see if this same experience had happened to other people- AND IT HAD! What a dishonorable company!

Least helpful agent I've ever had. They claimed to have a "Kiwi Guarantee" and then my carrier changes one flight so I could not make the connection... they were no help at all and kept offering alternative flights that made no sense (most of them still missed the connection, sometimes they were taking me to a different country... helpful).
They had no local phone number to call so everything was done on the app and they were extremely unhelpful. I requested a refund at the end of October.

UPDATE: 31 January

I requested a refund at the end of October and was partially refunded. The ticket booked was with a number of different carriers and Kiwi claimed that Emirates had not yet refunded their portion... however after several months of chasing and consistently being told this, I decided to check directly with Emirates, who informed me that they had refunded this to the agent at the END OF OCTOBER. I am still yet to receive the refund and it's now the end of January. After I showed them my message from Emirates, the latest excuse I was given by Kiwi was that "it is up to banks to transfer funds from one account to another. International's [sic] bank transfers can sometimes take longer than expected, and unfortunately, we can not speed this up in any way." Oddly enough, after I challenged them on this, they then reverted to "We have already requested a refund from the airline for all the flights and we are still waiting for the airline's response."

So how can I get a response quicker than the agent?! Isn't that their job? Incredible load of rubbish. I still haven't been refunded. Don't ever use this travel agent

Do not use it under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES

- First fail: I sent an email 6 days prior to the trip to use what Norwegian airline and Malaysia airline offered for changing the ticket with no extra fee. I got no answer from them, what so ever.
- Second fail: My trip was to Malaysia (planned for 18th march). Malaysian government set up a restriction for foreign nationals for entering their country on 16th of March. The flight was not cancelled but as a foreign national I was not allowed to get into my destination. When I asked them for cancellation they referred me their standard T&C. Absolutely against what they said in their website for providing support under Corona Crisis.
- Third fail: when I called on the day of my travel, I ended up the 30 minute phone call with no solid answer and a promise to receive an email. An email which I received on 19th of March. The day after my trip! What's the point!

It costed my 3033 Nok. They failed to provide any support ahead of my trip, the day of my trip, or after.
In summary: Zero $#*! was given!

DO NOT BOOK WITH KIWI
I recently booked a trip from Canada to Australia, a week later Kiwi informed me the middle leg of my flights was cancelled and I would need to pay an extra $1,000 to get on an earlier flight, which I did.
My flights were confirmed. A few weeks further I get to the airport to check in and discover a country I am flying through had changed their travel restrictions a week prior, so I was unable to fly at all.
I had paid extra for the Kiwi 'Plus Service' in the hopes I would receive extra help with the pandemic currently occurring, although Kiwi never once let me know of these changes or gave any warning that I would not be able to fly.
I called Kiwi at the airport and they basically told me "bad luck, you should have known". They could not give me a reason as to why they didn't notify me about those changes to my flight plan other than "technical issues".
I have since been on the phone for 2 days trying to speak to a senior staff member as the call centre workers just read off a script and wont answer my question, just keep telling me a supervisor will call me back in an hour, yet they never do.

Do not book with Kiwi, they're taking advantage of people and the cancellations in flights during this time of Covid-19.

January 20,2020 - Booking number 103 305 785 - 4 flights, 3 companies, 4 passengers - payed 5,648.01 RON, including AirHelp Plus

April 25,2020 - Flights canceled, payed €20 fee for Assisted Refund by Kiwi

July 31,2020 - Received a voucher from one company, Ryanair, 283.96 EUR (PNR: S6DN8J), but I can't use it because you chose randomly one of the passengers, not the person who made the booking. Ryanair said they can't help, they said Kiwi has to fix it. So a useless voucher.

May 17,2021 - I contacted Kiwi and asked for a refund. Received nothing.

June 11,2021 - I contacted Kiwi again and asked for a refund of the remaining amount. Received nothing.

Mar 13,2022 - I confirmed to continue waiting for your refund with the carriers, declining to receive just 30% of the amount.

Jul 18,2022 - I received 1,165.47 RON in Kiwi credit,

In summary:
1. Payed Kiwi 5,648.01 RON
2. Received a voucher I can't use from Ryanair because it was issued on the wrong name, one one of the passengers, not the account holder - 283.96 EUR (1618.4 RON). Ryanair said they can't do nothing about it.
3. Received Kiwi credit 1,165.47 RON
4. Missing a refund of 2,864.14 RON (!) and got a useless voucher.

I have nothing but problems with Kiwi.com.

Before purchasing the flight, I called Kiwi about the specific flight (the same flight I purchased later) and was told that even though the flight is for Cabin Baggage only, I could call in to request to add/purchase Check-In Baggage. This is the reason why I purchased the specific flight. Now, their telling me I cannot purchase a Check-In luggage.

Second. I was not told or did not see during the purchase that mentioned that Kiwi will book every flight leg separately. Which also means that if we purchased Check-In Luggage, we will need to collect our baggage, go through customs and security, and check in again between flights.

Third. I have tried contacting them via Phone & Email with same inquiries/ problems but no resolution. I have spoken with Travel Consultants Melissa, Ferry, Bernadette, Silindile, Mazwi, and Nayanika but still no resolution. All I get are inaccurate information (Ex. Different Check-In baggage rates for the same flight leg. One also says I can purchase check-in luggage for a fee and one says its for cabin baggage only, no check-in baggage allowed.)

I have been deceived and mislead by this company. I will be sending these complaints to BBB. Also will see a lawyer about this issue. I will definitely no longer use Kiwi. This will be my first and last.

This is the worse company I have ever used to book tickets. I purchased round trip tickets for my grandparents for January 19,2019- February 19 from Morelia, Mexico to Atlanta, Georgia. With 3 layovers in Chicago and Florida. On the way back they missed their flight in Florida to Chicago because my grandparents didn't know where/what to do because they didn't give the wheelchair service to them. Which I had asked when I called Kiwi.com. I also called Kiwi.com to tell them that they missed the flight and to asked them what I could do. All they said was "I'm sorry for missing your flight, everything is over with us now". They told me that I have to purchased another plane ticket which turned out to be false. Because I called the airline and they explained everything to me. And I didn't have to PURCHASE ANOTHER PLANE TICKET! I had bought them because they were cheap ($1,206) but you could only take 5kg for the baggage which is nothing. And Kiwi.com charges more for extra baggage. Never in my life have I ever paid for check bags it has always been included. Unfortunately I had to pay additional money with Spirit and United airlines for the bags. Which turned to be more expensive than I thought. So, Total amount I spent on the trip was $1,451. This is first and last time I will be using Kiwi.com SCAMMERS! I should've read the review before giving my money to them!
