This has to be the most disreputable company there is. In the event of a disagreement they just back off and tell you that you and the seller must come to an agreement. Problem is, the sellers never reply that just rip you off. As you can see from the posts this isn't an isolated incident.

So, DHGate are regurgitating their old standby saying to me again of "we have already refunded you, just go to your bank and quote this astronomically long bunch of numbers that mean nothing, then give them a secret code and you will get your refund".
The problem is of course is that this is all made up by them, there is no refund, never will be. The very first time that I dealt with DHGate, I was notified by them that they were refunding me because the item I wanted was out of stock, and they did refund me, right back onto my card. Money went back to me within a couple of days. Fast forward a few months later and they have decided not to refund money any more, they just keep it because, well, that's how they apparently operate now. So for them to keep your money, they give you a big long spiel which I noted above about numbers, codes etc. then their customer service (if you can even call it that), make real sure to never contact you, or you to never be able to contact them. Their ploy is to have you exhaust all avenues and jump through all their hoops in the hope that you will simply get tired of their make believe system and give up. In the case of my battle with them, one of their vendors MING62, is an out and out shyster. It is that vendor that failed to deliver, I continuously emailed and messaged MING62 for a refund but they refused and now blocked me from messaging them, so I went to DHGate as per their policy, but they are not there to help at all, they are a bigger badder version of MING62. I do feel sorry for the legit vendors who operate out of the DHGate site because ultimately they will end up riding along on the reputation of DHGate, which is one of an extremely ill reputed company. Once again people, I advise you not to deal with DHGate.

So an update. Amazingly (sarcasm) as soon as I posted my review on Sitejabber, I got a response from DHGate asking me for information so they could help me out. I sent them all of my information AGAIN, and they in turn sent me their tried and true comment of "We have already refunded you on January 21". This is all I ever get from them, they do not do anything else, they simply copy and paste this answer over and over. They either don't know how to fix things or they just don't care. I believe it is both! They will give you a series of 12 or so numbers that they say is your refund code, and you in turn are to take this to your bank or credit card issuer and quote to get the refund. Well, I done this and pretty much got laughed at, needless to say, these are simply numbers that they pull out of the air meaning nothing. It is yet another ruse that they use to not have to pay their customers.
DHGate truly love to get your money for nothing. I believe they are so desperate for money that they have intentionally set up this elaborate scam to get whatever they can from whoever they can. Please take my advice and do not purchase from them.
I purchased an item over $50.00 us funds. It was never shipped. I have been trying to get a refund from the seller or DH Gate, whoever would help me, and that was back in January, it is now April. No refund and now no communication from either mentioned. They insist that they have "great " customer service, they do not. It is extremely hard to even reach customer service and when you do, they reply via email and it is basically a form generated response. There are some good sellers on their site, but you really really have to watch who you are dealing with, because you will get ripped off by some of them, and be in the same position I am in, trying unsuccessfully to get compensation.

This is a follow up…. I purchased a wallet on DHGATE and when it arrived it was the wrong color and missing a card slot. I immediately started a dispute process with the seller. I logged out after my last counter offer and when I logged back in to see if it was accepted, ALL the information in my account had been erased. Everything from my favorites list to my payment methods and of course my order history which contained the order number I needed to reference my refund request. After emailing customer service about it, after sending proof of payment and the order page which I screenshot, they send out a generic generated email saying they can do nothing without an order number…. This place is a sham and only out for your money…. STAY AWAY! Their customer service number is FAKE and trying to reach someone to go over my situation has been impossible. DO NOT do business with this company AT ALL!

The seller "sunshineeyelashes" sent the wrong product (eyelashes). The wrong style, shape & size! After waiting 3 1/2 weeks to receive the product, sending pics of TWENTY pairs of eyelashes & several messages to dispute the charge, the explanation (exscuse) given was I ordered H2 (when my order confirmation clearly states H3) & the packages were labeled incorrectly. Made no sense! Bad business!

I had a bad experience with dh gate. I wanted to get a refund for an minato vs obito toy I bought but received a different character. The refunding process is very confusing. The seller and I couldn't come to an agreement where we were both happy so i had to take it to the higher ups to help they sent me two options and I had to respond within a certain time. I responded on time but the told me that I didn't respond and they were just going to compensate me 20 dollars for the 66 dollar item. I don't know what to do. I lost money

Awful experience too! Found e-scooters on DHgate, ad were saying EU stcok, delivery 7-14 days. I made an order, after a week, still was not shipped. Contacted seller, he said that items out of stock and they will get it after a month or so. After 14 days I requested refund, cause there was no point to wait anymore. Customer service said to wait 8 days. After 8 days they just declined to return me my money and said that I have to wait for my scooters. I said I dont need them and I want a full refund! I ordered from jdorreds on DH Gate and he sent totally different items. I disputed and was told to send back items, pay a shipping fee and seller would be responsible for full refund, including shipping fees. In march 2021 I was refunded the cost of the wrong items the fraudulent seller sent. My shipping costs have yet to be refunded. I have sent countless, countless emails to DHGate, customer service and the Fraudulent seller jdorreds. Dh gate have lied over and over again. Now they are stating when the seller get money form items he has sold I will get my refund. Excuse me? What he sells or do not sell has nothing to do with my shipping fee refund! This seller is no longer found under jdorreds. I want my money you owe me DH Gate. There need to be a class action lawsuit against this company for fraud!

Ordered a camouflage NFL jersey. Came with right player, wrong team. I immediately and repeatedly tried to get a correction. Basically I was told they can't intervene with that completed sale. It's not about the money it's about getting something you paid for. Took them 6 months and their idea of a complaint was to show item as received and transaction complete. Requested refund from seller within 24 hours of purchase, before shipping etc... had the most horrendous response. With seller not replying. With DHGate customer service being non existent in not investigating, and appearing to totally ignore there refund policy.
My advise is for UK buyers to stay away from DHGate,
They are dishonourable as explained, and should be investigated by British Parliament for malpractice, should be banned from operation until they can show they are competent to do so. An English call centre is essential to restore my lost trust.

If I could give zero stars I would! This dress looks nothing like the dress I ordered! This isn't the right color or style of the dress! In my communication with the seller the seller first lies about my dress being shipped out! They gave me an fake shipping number! 2 weeks later from that they provided me with a new shipping number from a different carrier stating to let them know first if the size and of color is off. Which leads me to believe they knew they were sending me the wrong dress I want my full refund! I needed this dress for my engagement photos! Please be careful, totally incompetent customer service, which is unable to help you if something goes wrong. My experience - once you receive a totally different product than what was ordered, all you gonna get is apology and empathy phrases. They will recommend you to dispute with the seller who will be blaming the post office for packing the wrong product and after you involve DHgate to mediate, that would reject due to insufficient evidence. I ordered one product (Xiaomi Mi TV stick), and I received a totally different kind of product (wifi wall switch) for half of the price of the product I ordered. Please do not hazard with your money and save yourself from disappointment, incompetence, and waste of time.
